South Partnership Helps Military-Affiliated Students Land Careers

In strengthening its commitment to military-affiliated students land meaningful careers, the 911爆料网 is partnering with 50strong, an organization that helps connect service members, veterans and spouses with national employers.
50strong collaborates with military-ready employers and higher ed partners such as South to identify resources and exposure to private-sector employers.
鈥淲e are committed to ensuring our students have every opportunity to succeed,鈥 said David Blair, director of military services at South. 鈥淲e pride ourselves in not only assisting our students in meeting their educational goals, but also in providing programs and services to ensure they explore jobs that match their talents and meet their expectations.鈥
South鈥檚 military-affiliated students will benefit from this no-cost opportunity to connect with military-friendly employers in several ways. The 50strong Student Connect Series connects students with internship opportunities, as well as part-time and full-time employment opportunities.
Students also can gain exposure to military-friendly talent recruiters; build connections in the workforce; and have access to featured employer partners who provide job opportunities, assist in resume building and provide training in tailoring interviewing skills.
鈥淲e welcome any opportunity for connections that our office can facilitate helps our students gain confidence and leads to a successful transition from college life to a rewarding career,鈥 Blair said. 鈥淥ur students have served and sacrificed throughout their military career as service members or a family member. We owe it to them to provide every opportunity possible to be successful after they've served this great nation.鈥
